My general advice for anyone new to W3W is to use the terrain view instead of  the neat default map. And if you have reliable traditional map-reading skills, W3W's terrain view will always be precise.

I feel much depends on location and possibly even your phone itself. Here, sadly, I have had the blue dot be inaccurate by as many as eleven, yes eleven w3w squares. It gives me no pleasure to tell you this.... (More)

Yes. my instinct says most users tend to give the square they're standing on, camera in hand, as the address.
