Wrexham Chauffeurs is a 24-hour luxury chauffeur service covering North East Wales and Cheshire that specialises in Airport Transfer andExecutive Private Hire. Owner, Geth Thomas, takes pride in delivering stress-free travel, so we caught up with him to find out how what3words is helping to provide exactly that.

How is what3words helping Wrexham Chauffeurs?
Running a Chauffeur company relies on 100% customer service, we have to be at the right place at the right time, every time. In the old days that relied on good luck, but since using what3words we get to the right place every single time – and with much less angst! Even when collecting clients from a large outdoor event attended by 1000s of people, we know precisely where to pick up our customers from.
How did you integrate what3words into your business?
First off we ask all of our drivers and chauffeurs to download the free what3words app, and get to grips with how it works. We also partner with the market leading ‘Chauffeur Drive System’, which is what3words enabled, so when we’re given a pick up point from the system we can now grab the what3words address for that spot and navigate to that precise location.
What situations is it especially useful for?
Today I needed to take a passenger to a precise point in the Jewellery quarter in Birmingham city centre. If I need to send a different chauffeur to collect the passenger in 3 days time, I will be able to give them the precise location to within three metres of the passenger’s front door, whereas the postcode would only take them somewhere near. The support from what3words is always fantastic too; to have such a cutting edge concept delivered by amazing people is the cherry on top.
How are you making your customers aware of what3words?
One of the best ways of telling customers about what3words is through real-life examples (and I have a lot of them!) For example, one of my passengers is a fell-runner, and how would he get help if he got injured? For people like him what3words can be a lifesaver!

How sad! I forwarded this blog post to the proprietor of a local area limousine hire company. I allowed several days to pass then rang him to see what his reaction was. "Ah, Gordon - as much as I appreciate you thinking of us, I am sorry to say that COVID-19 has killed us. With all the restrictions on weddings, school formals, and air travel we have had no business at all for more than 12 months. We are in forced retirement not knowing what the future holds".
